Versatile and flavorful, Simcoe® shines with smooth bitterness and aromas of pine and citrus. Simcoe® is a classic multi-purpose hop bred by Yakima Chief Ranches and released in 2000. Featuring high alpha content of 10-16%, brewers appreciate Simcoe for its smooth bitterness and unique flavor profile. It is often compared to Cascade, but with stronger and more intense aromas.
Brewing Application: A spectacular dual-purpose hop, Simcoe®’s high alpha content makes it ideal for bittering additions. Meanwhile, its one-of-a-kind aroma profile plays well in Pale Ales, IPAs, and Double IPAs. (Alpha Acid Content 10-16%)
