Description
OTTAWA TEACHERS COLLEGE Designed by architect W.R. Strickland and built in 1875, the college trained teachers for Ontario until 1974. It is considered to be an example of late 19th century eclectic design. In the Gothic Revival style, the building is located at 195 Elgin Street and was designated as a National Historic Site of Canada in 1974.
