Description
NATIONAL WAR MEMORIAL First unveiled in 1939 to commemorate Canadians who served during WW1 (1914-1918). Over the years this memorial has been rededicated a number of times to symbolize the sacrifice of all Canadians in time of war. The memorial site is centrally located in Confederation Square at the intersection of Elgin and Wellington streets in downtown Ottawa.
